Neil is a senior Director and is the longest qualified Solicitor within Hyphen Law. He has over 30 years experience as a Professional Deputy. The majority of Neil’s Deputyship work relates to highly complex matters on behalf of clients who have sustained birth injuries or serious head injuries but who are unable to conduct their own financial or property affairs. Together with his colleagues, he specialises in managing a wide range of issues for his clients as well as providing expertise in personal injury trusts, education related issues and the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) benefits for clients who have been awarded substantial personal injury compensation.
Neil is also a highly respected personal injury and medical negligence Solicitor, specialising in complex serious injury and high value cases involving head injuries, birth injuries, road traffic accidents and spinal cord damage. During the course of his career, Neil has dealt with many high profile cases for both adults and children, frequently involving unusually complex issues and very substantial awards of damages. He has extensive experience of managing, training and supporting large teams of lawyers.
Many of Neil’s personal injury and medical negligence clients in the litigation cases which he and his team conduct are also Deputyship clients, meaning that they have the benefit of a complete continuity of client care from their injury onwards. The majority of Neil’s clients are referred to him via personal recommendations.
Neil and his team emphasise the vital importance of working closely with their clients together with their families, case managers, support workers, care providers, and investment managers in order to provide the best possible service to clients and their families. He and his team also work closely throughout all cases with the Court of Protection and the Office of the Public Guardian.
As a Band 1 ranked lawyer with the highly respected legal directory, Chambers and Partners, Neil presents regularly to other professionals and has been interviewed on many occasions both on radio and television. He is the current Chairman of Headway Salisbury and South Wiltshire.
