Nicola Ogden

Solicitor

Nicola works in our Swindon office advising on property and affairs applications to the Court of Protection and dealing with the ongoing management of Deputyships.

She is an experienced legal professional, starting her career as a paralegal before qualifying as a solicitor in 2020. Nicola’s background is in Court of Protection matters, and she has worked extensively with a broad range of clients and professional Deputies at every stage of the Deputyship process.

During her legal studies, Nicola volunteered at Avon and Bristol Law Centre as a Welfare Benefits Caseworker where she was involved in overturning the Department for Work and Pensions’ decisions regarding individuals declared ‘fit for work’. This inspired Nicola to start working on Court of Protection issues, as she found it rewarding to work closely with clients while helping them in difficult circumstances.

Nicola has an excellent ability to handle a varied and complex caseload and develop strong relationships with clients. She has a sensitive understanding of the need for considerate and capable support in Court of Protection matters.

Outside of work Nicola enjoys long walks and new adventures with her two German Shepherds, Bailey and Zuzka, who also happen to have a generous social media following.
